Meer info:
Book is inscribed on second free endpaper with a dedication by the American psychologist and 'educator' Will Monroe to his former professor, the German psychiatrist, psychologist and philosopher Theodor Ziehen (1862-1950).

Monroe studied at Stanford University before moving to Europe, where he was a student at various universities (Jena, Leipzig, Paris). It must have been at Jena where he met Theodor Ziehen.

Between 1886 and 1896 Ziehen worked at Jena university's psychiatric clinic, where he was responsible for the daily treatment of a.o. Friedrich Nietzsche. In 1900 he moved to Utrecht, the Netherlands, to teach at its university. Some years after that, he moved to Berlin, where he worked at the Charité, now as head of the psychiatric clinic (his successor was Dietrich Bonhoeffers father).

All in all an interesting copy---
