All first editions. The first two vols. presented as complete in two vols.
Outside: Leather overall poor. Boards, spines and hinges, heads and tails thus damaged. Most hinges cracked outside and in-. Three boards of two vols. attached only by the cords (see photos), but still tight. Lettering panels that are present (see photos) allow for restoration. Same applies to original decorations of leather edges. / Sprinkled paper of the boards good with some scuffing, marbled edge of all six blocks very good. Inside: Very good. Some foxing, all minor. Some minor discoloration on some pages. |
