In a world where body image, fame, and fortune are top priorities, it is sometimes difficult to be okay with being an original. We spend our lives trying to change the very things that make us unique, to fit into someone else's mold, not once realizing it is a part of our destiny. My life has been nothing but a drama sequel, and I got the pleasure of having the starring role.


From the very moment I was conceived, there was a calling on my life that would take years for me to figure out. Abandonment, abuse, loneliness, and betrayal were a few feelings I consistently felt, never taking the time to realize just how blessed I was.
It would take a season of depression, brokenness and a suicide attempt that would bring me to the place where Jesus stood waiting. I had to learn that God strategically planned my life from my first breath down to my last. He places trials and tribulations in our lives so we have a testimony to tell. For me, it was for me to realize that I am exactly who God wanted me to be.


Nakia Renee, California native, is a Registered Nurse Manager of a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit by trade, where she loves to nurture others to grow personally and professionally. Her life-long journaling is where she learned that thoughts become lessons that can be turned into actions. Through life experiences, she has learned the art of living on her own terms without the approval of others. She hopes that through her experiences, others can learn to express their true self in their daily lives.


Nakia Renee believes that through her life story, she would free someone else from the bondage their past has them in. Telling her truth transparently, she hopes to encourage, inspire, and transform women into the woman God destined them to be. Living life on purpose is what He plans for us all. Nakia has walked through valleys and been tried by some fires. She speaks from a place of understanding because although she may not be a psychologist or a therapist, she is a living testimony.
