This happened to humans living in the northern part of Gisiya. After losing such a fundamental piece of themselves, happiness began to flow away from their hearts, shock and fear replacing it.

Humans tried to triumph over their invulnerable foes time after time, only to sacrifice many lives. They don't seek ways to safeguard their souls now. They know it is just a matter of time before the Daggers of Death pierce their flesh. So, breathing in the air of despondency, they wait for their turns.
A dream to eradicate the darkness ...
The story of this unfortunate island is seen through the eyes of Runiya, a daydreamer who hides from the harsh realities of life behind her fantasies and the protective shield of her parents' presence.Since childhood, Runiya has become entangled with a creature that humankind fears the most. This unwanted and forbidden entanglement constantly gnaws at her bones, blood, and soul, even though she tries futilely to ignore and forget it.The young Runiya attends the Survival Tournament to achieve her greatest dream. The tournament grants her the offerings of friendship, love, and confidence. However, more offerings await her. Once they are revealed, Runiya's life changes irrevocably and forever.

But death was not the sole possibility that came with getting close to the Edge. There was the prospect of discovery. Beyond the Edge lay a true thing of beauty. Most people couldn't see it because fear had cast shadows over their eyes. Only when one stepped up to fear would its shadows vanish from one's vision.
