Spine a bit dirty, the naked woman in Sarzini's emblematic printer's mark was partly crossed out with old ink. With some handwritten 17th century notes and underlining, but otherwise a very neat copy. Dialogue of the Divine Providence of Catherine of Siena, preceded by an introductory letter and her canonization by Pope Pius II (1461), and followed by some contemporary texts by friends of Catherine. This is a typographically beautiful Renaissance book, largely set in a beautiful italic type. Probably from the library of Emile Erens. |
