Collection of laudatory speeches about a.o. Phillippus Neri, Ignatius de Loyola, Thomas Aquinas by the famous Italian Jesuit preacher P. Segneri (1624-1694). They are followed by two other works (both with separate title-pages): Eusebio Truchses, Oratio R. P. Eusebii Truchses, Soc. Jesu Ad Purpuratos Ecclesiæ Patres : dicta In Palatio Vaticano Post Coenam Diei Jovis Hebdomadæ Sanctioris Ex Italica Authoris latinè recèns reddita A R. P. Maximiliano Rassler. Edition secunda. Dilingae, Bencard 1725 (pp. 578-606); and an interesting treatise by Rassler himself against Pufendorfs ideas on the secular powers of the pope in his "Tractatus historicus De monarchia pontificis romani" which had appeared in 1688 as an addition to his "Introductio ad historiam præcipuorum regnorum, et statuum modernorum, in Europa of 1687. This treatise dated 1700 was not included in the first (Italian) edition (1664) but added to the Latin edition first published in 1703: P.
