Very good copy of a rare 17th century devotional work. It contains short biographies of saintly children or of those who have led a saintly youth. They are collected for moral and religious education and arranged according to feastdays of the religious calender. Hermann Bosendorf (1566-1623), who used various pseudonyms (a.o. pistorius), was doctor in Theology, Jesuit (since 1588) and headmaster of the Provincial college in Münster (Germany). Vellum soiled and & wharped; endpaper and title-page loose with small hole affecting one letter; occasional marginal worming without touching the text; shelf-mark inside front cover.
