Seneca’s tragedies with on the title page the printer’s mark (sundial) of the firm Blaeu from Amsterdam. At first glance it appears to be a reprint of the editions in vicesimo-quarto (24º) from 1619 and 1624, but it’s more likely that this is the same edition printed again because the first copies were sold-out. The engraved title page, however, was not copied very carefully and in addition, in the year a “C” is forgotten. Interestingly enough Schweiger did not detect this error in his ‘Handbuch der classichen Bibliographie.’ Rare edition. ZKL0074
