Inscribed by the author: 'For Trudy,/ with warmest regards and greetings/ from/ Nick Furbank'. With an accompanying handwritten 23-line letter to Trudy on paper headed with Furbank's adress in London, dated '29 June'. And with an extensive answer (8 pp.) by Trudy in concept, dated '20 dec. 1981'. Furbank's letter mentions Virginia Woolf and George Frederick Watts. Trudy's letter mentions E.M. Forster, about whom Furbank had written a much acclaimed biography. A nice ensemble.
