First edition. The first edition was issued in a run of 90 press-numbered copies printed on Vélin d'Arches paper. after a tirage de tête of 10 hors commerce copies printed on Monval. Both of the grand papier issues were bound in Japon paper wrappers; the regular edition of 900 copies was printed and bound using ordinary paper. The colophon printed at the back of the book mentions only the two grand papier issues, with no mention of the ordinary edition. \n'Un Coup de Dés Jamais N'Abolira Le Hasard', was published in La Revue Cosmopolis in 1897. The present edition, the first book publication of the poem, was prepared for publication by Mallarmé's son-in-law Edmond Bonniot, and includes the poet's final corrections and recommendations. \nTitle page reads 'Poème', while on the wrappers there is 'Poèmes'.
