Sculptor Guest was born in England and raised there and in the US and Kenya. Her work, in materials including granite, marble, alabaster, and bronze, focuses on powerful but graceful renderings of animals and plants that seem frequently to be metamorphosing from the materials themselves. This collection of her work comprises 133 beautifully photographed (by Christian Odasso) plates in both color and b&w, accompanied by Guest's own essay on her sculpture, and appreciations by novelist and poet Jim Harrison, painter Marion Pike, and art critic Raymond Charnet.
