First edition of M. Schmidt's first photo book. - The Berlin photographer M. Schmidt (born 1945), "internationally one of the best-known contemporary German photographers" (Koetzle), was a police officer in Berlin until 1973 and in 1976 founded a workshop for photography at the Volkshochschule Kreuzberg. In the 1970s and 1980s, this was a trend-setting training facility, but also a well-respected presentation forum for international photography.
