In May 2006 Bruno Vekemans spent several months in Kinshasa, Congo. This tour made an overwhelming impression on him and the photographs, films, drawings, and sketchbook he brought back, occupied him for two years, resulting in the creation of his marvelous project: Kinshasa Congo. The present volume shows the most important pictures in this series as well as many of his original photographs and sketches. The accompanying text and an attached DVD recreates his Congo experience for the reader.
