The tradition of the "berkout chis", the eagle hunters, has been perpetuated in Kazakhstan for centuries. Gilles Santantonio, freelance reporter-photographer, producer and writer-director of documentary films and cinematographer, shared the life of one of these hunters for several months. From his journey, he brought back unexpected and spectacular photos, which accompany the story of the capture and training of these superb and impressive birds of prey.
