- Ron Belling is Official War Artist to the South African Air Force. 150 meticulously detailed paintings of close on 100 different aircraft types. National aircraft insignia table at rear of text.Dustjacket bright, tight and clean, but has six inch repaired vertical tear to front of jacket near front edge. Also half inch nick from top edge at this point. Small triangular crease mark on front bard at top corner. Also one inch by half an inch rub mark on board coinciding with crease mark on jacket. 160 pages. Two loose inserts found inside and are part of this listing. One photocopied chapter from unknown book entitled "Return home via The Cape" re a RAF officer's journey by sea and air to Scotland in 1941. Gift inscription in ink at top of this insert. The second is a four page copy of South African Airways News dated July 1989. This refers to Record UK Attendance at WATS. Wartime Air Training Scheme Reunion on May 4 to 7 that year. Detailed lists of reunion members and where trained, photographs. Names of delegates. Air School locations and present use. Reports on reunion.
