First edition of this important metallurgic treatise by Antoine Grimoald Monnet (1734-1817), French mineralogist who became a mine inspector and wrote several treatises on mining and geology based on his travels and observations across France. This work is a revision and a translation of a treatise published by the Freiberg mining company, combined with his own observations in Germany. It is the first work in French on the subject. Illustrated with 24 engraved folding plates bound at the back.
