This volume presents a complete reproduction of the original Animal Locomotion (1887), containing all 781 collotype plates by Eadweard Muybridge, documenting more than 20,000 sequential images of humans and animals in motion. Organized across nude and draped human subjects, a range of animal species, and abnormal or clinical movements, it offers an electro-photographic investigation of consecutive phases of movement. The book includes the original prospectus and plate catalogue.
