An exceptionally nice copy and distinctly scarce thus. First Edition. Of three planned portfolios, this was the only one to be issued by Editions Arts et Metiers Graphiques. The two that never were published being Hommes and Adolescents. For its day a conspicuously innovative work - the studies in their composition, choice of subject, and use of raking light prefigured the later work of many post war photographers. |
