| Meer info | This is the highly collectable Wired edition from 1996 featuring on its cover the iconic image of Steve Jobs, as photographed by Steve Double at Redwood City, California. The magazine carried an in-depth interview with Steve Jobs by Gary Wolf entitled 'The next insanely great thing'. This is in the Apple 'computer years' before Jobs launched his innovative consumer technology and the range of iPods, iPhones and iPads. Not only is this Wired issue a desirable collector's item for Apple Inc and Jobs fans, but the content of the magazine itself is a rich snapshot of mid-1990s tech culture. The adverisements themselves are wholly absorbing. And for Dutch readers, there is an interview with designer Jaap Drupsteen about his design for the 100 guilder banknote (in itself a collectable work of art) before it was superseded by the rather drab designs of the Euro notes in 2002. |
