Launched by Robert Crisswell and his wife, Betty (who adopted the gender-neutral moniker "Fanchon Devoe" as editor), the magazine ran for just over a year and focused on the needs and wants of well-to-do-men-about-town. Jerome Zerbe served as Photograph Editor, and his snapshots and portraits were featured in most issues, along with images by George Platt Lynes, who was also profiled in an issue alongside Jean Coucteau.
