More conferences has followed since: in Amsterdam in 1991 and in 1994 in Glasgow. Each time the papers have been published afterwards. The fourth conference was again the Dutch turn. It was organized by the Institute for maritime History of the naval Staff and the department of Maritime History of the University of Leiden, represented by Dr. Paul C. van Royen and Prof.dr. Jaap R. Bruijn. This publication offers eleven papers. |
