Decorated eps/pastedowns; 102pp, profusely illustrated predominantly with b/w photography on semi-gloss art paper. These sections of plates are unpaginated, and thus make the whole text block more substantial than the 102pp would suggest. There are occasional small ink vignettes, and the whole work stylishly designed and produced. Tight, bright and clean, without markings or inscriptions. Printed at The Garden City Press in Letchworth, and set in 11 on 13 point Bembo. CONTENTS: 'From Nicolet to Yvette Guilbert'; 'The BELLE-EPOQUE of Music Hall in Paris'; 'Nudes versus Prudes'; 'The Road to Strip-Tease'; 'Trouping the Girls'; 'The Kings of Music-Hall';'Backstage Secrets and Scenery of Spectacular Revue'; and 'Reminiscences'. The dustwrapper is complete and unclipped (36s net), has a small ink stain to front (verso also), hardly noticeable as it is over a dark area.
