| Meer info | - This is a photo and tex history of the 9th SS Panzer Division "Hohenstaufen", that was part of II SS-Panzerkorps led by the legendary Paul Hausser, and later Wilhelm Bittrich (first commander of Hohenstaufen). - This is the definitely photo history book of the 9th SS Panzer Division - much like "Das Reich im Bild" by Otto Weidinger is the 2nd SS Panzer Division, or "Wie Ein Fels Im Meer" by Karl Ullrich is for the 3rd SS "Totenkopf". - It is a massive hardcover, with over 500 pages and lots of photos. I own all of the other SS unit photo histories, and this one is right up there with the best of them. - My only complaint would be that there is no English text. But, with rare foreign SS photo books like these, you can't really expect EVERYTHING to be catered to the US audience. Most of us are just lucky enough to get a copy of the book! |
