| Meer info | = Charming copy of Aristotle's Stagiritae, tomus sextus in its contemporary binding, The stagiritae were published in this edition in 6 volumes (and an index-vol.), but complete sets are extremely rare. The volumes are complete in itself. We also hold a uniformly bound volume secundus (with the same provenance), Stagiritae Physicorum (on physics (and physicality)). In 1579-1580 a title-edition was published under the imprint Ioan Iacob Iuntae, with printed year of publication. This undated edition under the imprint Haeredes Iacob Iuntae was supposedly printed before. WorldCat lists works printed under Haeredes I.I. Iuntae from 1548 to 1555. The present volume 6 contains: Rhetoricorum ad Theodectem Libri III. Georgio Trazuntio interprete; Rhetorica ad Alexandrum, Francisco Philelpho interprete; De Poetica, Alexandro Paccio Patritio Florentino interprete; Problematum Sectiones XXXVIII. Theodoro Gaza interprete; Alexandri Aphrodisaei Problematum Libr II. Theodoro Gaza interprete. Occasional minor imperfections. Binding rubbed/ slightly worn; upper joint weak. Copy with the engraved ex-libris of Bibliothek Oberherrlingen on upper pastedown and manuscript owner's entry of Joan Josephi Cremer (ca. 1770 [date in the tomus secundus]) on first free endpaper. |
