Not illustrated (save for the title illustration). Set from Peignot and printed on art paper. Very good condition. This Folies Bergère liberation party benefited the Normandy wounded of D-Day, it was celebrated in liberated Paris with a spectacle in which the Swing Folies Girls of Miss Bluebell performed, Les Gypsys, Mistinguett, Maurice Chevalier and many others. An autograph of General Eisenhower was also to be auctioned for the ‘Sinistrés de Normandie’! A very fragile edition (even more so because of its horizontal format with little power in the spine). |
