Une saison en enfer. Lithographies originales de Louis Favre. La Haye/Paris, Stols, 1949. Loose quires in cover. 76 p. Printed in green and black in 150 numbered copies signed by the artist. With initials specially designed for this edition by Helmut Salden. Foxing, spine damaged. =This copy, with the cover printed in English, was not numbered or signed. In place of the lithograph on page 17 is a pencil sketch of the same lithograph. The lithograph in question, with variants, has been added in duplicate on different types of paper. 2. Collection of 24 different prints of the ten lithographs. Some of these are colour variants of the version used, some lithographs are printed on different paper, one lithograph is signed, one is monogrammed. Some foxing here and there. 3. Suite of the décomposition des couleurs. 48 (out of 49) monochrome lithographs of all print runs. The fourth lithograph is missing, but of the 23rd lithograph there is a duplicate present.
