Curiously enough, the data of the publisher have been removed from the cover, and those of the printer from the last text page. Very good copy. With a 'homophile' illustration on the cover by G. Smit. According to the cover, this book should be adorned by 'eaux fortes et de gravures'. There are however only some line illustrations included. Occasionally loose etchings can be found in the Fredi series, poorly produced, but not in this copy. The 'Fredi'-series about the coming-of-age of a young gay man, was a pun on the coming-of-age books series 'Claudine' by Colette, that was hugely popular in the early years of the century. |
