In the Latin translation by the German teacher G.H. Thiele. The editio princeps of Locke's masterpiece about the extend of human knowledge was printed in London in 1690. It took until 1701 for the first complete Latin translation, by Richard Burridge, to appear in London as well. Other Latin editions are known to be published in 1709 (Leipzig), 1729 (Amsterdam), 1731 (Leipzig) and 1741 (Leipzig).
