Engraving on laid paper, by Firch after Zorel, platemark: 326 x 353 mm., in good condition, cropped close to the platemark, a small crease in the top right corner. As Cayenne was permanently settled by the French in ca. 1664, we date this allegory around that time. An interesting print, as neither Firch nor Zorel turn up in the ULAN database. |
