The print bears a signature in pencil on the verso (unclear wether this is the signature of the artist). Cornelis Albertus Johannes Schermer (The Hague 1824-1915) was a Dutch printmaker, draughtsperson and painter. He was mostly active in The Hague, but worked in Bouvignes-sur-Meuse from 1880 to 1903. In good condition, a nice and deep impression. Some small damages (a crease and a small tear, some tiny nicks) in the margin edges. A few tiny spots in the left margin. |
