Johann Albert Luyken (1784-1867) became owner of Haus Landfort (castle Landfort) and this book belonged to its library as shown by this bookplate. Very rare. Nicholas [Nicolaas] Fonteyn studied medicine in Leiden in 1622 and obtained his doctorate in Reims in 1631. Later he was a doctor in Amsterdam. In 1644 he became personal physician to Ferdinand, Archbishop of Keulen. This book is dedicated to cardinal Richelieu. |
