Born in 1945, Long is a pioneer of Land Art. His art has its origins in walking: his works of the 1960s record the walks, while subsequent works, made in predominantly remote and wilderness landscapes, use simple, natural materials such as stones, sticks and water. This book, designed in collaboration with the artist, focuses primarily on work he has made in the past decade.
