| Meer info | covers marbled paper; nicely decorated endpapers. Each volume: halftitle, title and 800 pp (vol. 2: 824 pp), printed in 2 columns. With some engravings in text. Encyclopédie A-Z (vols. 1-24), vol. 25 "Supplement", 800 pp. bound with (26): "Table Méthodique", 200 pp. We have to mention some minor defects: light brown spots in places but mainly to half-title and last leaf; convent stamp on titles; small marginal waterstain on half-title and title vol. 19; top of 1 spine rubbed; corners sl. bumped, a few corners with a bit damage; tear in backcover vol. 7 repaired). - On the whole a good complete set in nice bindings, with on foot of spines in gilt caracters the name of the owner: "Auguste Blondiaux". |
