Dutch edition of the Bible based on Martin Luther's German translation, rendered into Dutch by Adolf Visscher and later revised by E. F. Alberti and J. Klap for the Lutheran community in the Netherlands. Signed twice by Alberti and Klap, including at the final section, confirming their involvement in this edition. The final 216 pages include 'Het Boek der Psalmen' with Christian hymns. Text in Dutch. Binding worn with some damages. Paper somewhat browned with occasional stains, old handwritten inscriptions on the endpaper, including a dedication dated 1797, small piece missing at the bottom of the title page. Although still (very) good, see pictures. |
