| Meer info | - First edition of work written by Abraham de Wicquefort (1598-1682), Dutch diplomat, in prison. It deals with the political immunity of Wicquefort, who was imprisoned beween 1675 and 1679. Also with the court case of the Dutch lawyer Gerbrant Sas from The Hague, who was employed at the Court of The Hague in the service of English merchants. After wounding an opponent on the street, he was prosecuted, but got acquitted under the (political) pressure of the States-General. Rare. Reprinted in 1677. Cf. Brunet Suppl. II, 946; Berridge.
