The first edition of this, his main, work appeared in Lyon 1624 and it was reprinted upto 1680. Bindings worn, leather damaged and chipped at edges, cornes, capitals and spines (partly split); title-pages loosening and with folds; severe browning and spotting throughout but text still serviceable; marginal worming at the end of vol. 1 and 2, touching a few letters in vol. 1; quire N bound before M in vol. 2; small stamp on title-page of vol. 3.; no endpapers or flyleaves in second volume.
