| Meer info | - German edition of famous commentary on Justinians pandects by Matthaeus Wesenbeck or Matthieus van Wesembeke (1531-1586). He was born in Antwerp, studied at Louvain and Jena. Afterwards he became a professor of law in Jena and Wittenberg. He was a follower of Mudaeus (Gabriel van der Muyden, 1501-1561), famous professor at Louvain and the founder of the "back to the sources" school of civilians. This edition has notes & commentary of Reinhardus Bachovius (1575-1640). Augmented with Wesenbeck's treatise : Tractatus de Feudis with notes by Hermann Hermes. Roberts, 220; Walker 1296. |
