| Meer info | - Alfred von Zeerleder (1890-1976) was a Swiss metallurgist and professor at the ETH Zürich. From 1909 to 1911 he studied mechanical engineering at the Swiss Hochschule ETH Zürich. After an internship at Brown, Boveri & Cie in Baden (BBC), he studied electrochemistry, chemistry and metallurgy at the Königlichen Hochschule in Aachen, where he received his doctorate in 1916. In 1920 he took up his position at the test laboratory of the Aluminium-Industrie Actiengesellschaft (A.I.A.G.) in Neuhausen am Rheinfall (later: Forschungsinstitut FI). Until 1955 he served as director of this research institute. |
