| Meer info | - Brouwer was trained by Monakow at Zürich, and assistant to Wertheim Salomonson and graduated cum laude with this thesis. During ten years he was assistant-manager of the " Ned. Centr. Inst. voor hersen onderzoek". (1912-1922) In 1923 he was appointed professor of neurology and psychiatry at Amsterdam University After the retirement of Winkler at Utrecht in 1925 Brouwer became the leading scientific neurologist in the Netherlands. The neurosurgical achievements of Cushing and Dandy induced him to introduce this neurosurgury in his clinic. Lindeboom, p. 271. |
