| Meer info | - Charles Périn (1815-1905) teached public law, international law and became professor of political economy at the university of Louvain. His work De la richesse dans les sociétés chrétiennes (1861) ensured him an international reputtion. His doctrine was constant throughout his life, like his teaching which never dissociated the moral, the social, the economy and the political. It was situated between the 'enjoyable' liberalism (we would no doubt say today 'consumerist') and the materialist socialism of Lassalle and Marx.
