| Meer info | - SK Sinha has his law degree from Chittagong University and his judicial career began in 1974 in Sylhet Session Judges Court. He got enrolled at the High Court Division in 1978 and at the Appellate Division in 1990. In October 1999, he was appointed a judge at the High Court division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court and got elevated to the Appellate Division in 2009. He had also served as the Chairman of the Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission, responsible for judicial appointments in the lower tier of the judiciary. He became first member of a minority community being appointed as the Chief Justice on 17 January 2015. In a very controversial and contentious circumstances following public criticism by government ministers and ruling party officials he submitted his resignation on November 11 from abroad. He is currently living in exile. My judicial philosophy and how various laws and verdicts impact lives of common people. In that vein, this book is more than my personal life story, a slice of the history of the nation's journey. |
