| Meer info | Opdracht en autografen van auteurs aan professoren Mrs. Kristan-Tollman and Mr. Tollmann in zwarte vulpen op voorplat, verder zuiver, gelezen exemplaar uit 1968, eerste druk, 107 pag., plus zwart-wit-illustratiekatern, lichte gebruikssporen op omslag en snede, licht verkleurd op pagina, in goede staat / clean used copy, autographs and dedications to the Tollmann's in black ink on front cover, clean, used fine / with 22 text-figures, 3 tables plus 18 plates. Krystyna Pozaryska's monograph "Foraminifera from the Paleocene of Poland, their ecological and paleogeographical meaning" (1968) corroborated the view that during the Paleocene (and the Cretaceous) the area of Poland had been influenced by two climatic zones, referred to as the Northern (Boreal) and Southern (Tethyan) European provinces. This was reflected in the presence of the warm-water, middle Paleocene (Montiarl) foraminifera in the Polish Lowlands due to the ingression of warm seas from the Western to Middle Europe. Later, she elaborated this view when she described the range of the warm-water Paleocene microfauna in Europe and de- termined directions of its migration. |
