| Meer info | Genda is a magazine intersecting Western and Eastern culture. "Genda #1. Body as packaging" contains 144 pages and features numerous photographs by 21 contemporary and international photographers, with a short essay by Carlo Sala in English and Mandarin. Sometimes the human body becomes an object like any other. The body used like any other material, deprived of its sexual, moral and social aspects. The body without rhetoric, without history, without ethics, stripped of that recognition which relates to a living, ambiguous and perhaps disconcerting person. Carlo Sala (Treviso, 1984), art critic, curator and professor at the Master in Photography at the IUAV University of Venice. He collaborates as an independent curator with museums and private galleries. 21 photographers featured in this book: Geert Goiris, Tang Ting, Liu Shuwei, Charlie Engman, Agnès Geoffray, Ren Hang, Sophie Tianxin Chen, Paul Kooiker, Todd Fisher, Pixy Yijun Liao, Yi Lian, Joanna Piotrowska, Blaise Cepis, Lin Zhipeng (aka N°223), Nononino, Isabelle Wenzel, Chloe Rosser, Shen Wei, Xiaopeng Yuan, Ute Klein, Aaron McElroy. |
