Tracing Cleo's love affairs, her stint hiding out at the ashram of the infamous Bhagwan Rajneesh, and her sometimes-harrowing drug experiences, Goa Freaks is candid and compelling bringing to life the spirit of a now-lost era. Odzer later earned a Ph.D. and worked in drug rehabilitation. She died after returning to Goa in 2001, leaving behind a legacy as a chronicler of subcultures and marginalized communities. |
