Edited by Ilona Gábor, under the supervision of Anna Eimanner and Sándor Kiss, and issued by the Institute of Party History. Printed in Hungary by Obseg and the University Press. The volume presents a curated selection of revolutionary posters from 1919, reproduced in high-quality duotone and colour plates. The imagery reflects the intense graphic language of early communist propaganda: workers’ mobilization, class struggle, and avant‑garde visual experimentation. The album is historically significant as one of the earliest systematic attempts to document the visual culture of the short‑lived Hungarian Soviet Republic. |
