| Meer info | A scientific expedition that would visit Port Dikson in Siberia as part of the first International Polar Year. Due to heavy ice, the expedition led by Dr. Maurits Snellen failed to reach Dikson, but sightings were made on the frozen Kara Sea. After the expedition ship sank, the crew members managed to reach the mainland with sleds and sloops across the ice. Lamie was member of the expedition.
