Forest green cloth with black-stamped decorative pattern and a gilt roundel of a double canoe to upper board; gilt title panel and further black-stamped decoration to spine. All edges gilt. Cloth and gilt are bright; boards slightly cocked; corners rubbed. Tissue guard present to frontispice. Contents firmly bound; foxing to endpapers; neat owner's inscription dated February 14, 1881 to ffep. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Rare in this superb condition. |
