Margoliouth's Catalogue of the Hebrew and Samaritan manuscripts in the British Museum, here reprinted, were published consecutively in 1899, 1905 and 1915. They were followed in 1935 by the publication of a fourth volume, compiled by J. Leveen and containing comprehensive indexes of personal names, titles, subjects and place names, together with an introductory account of the history of the British Museum's collection of Hebrew manuscripts. [...] In the reprint, the plates which illustrated the first edition have been omitted. Otherwise the catalogue is unchanged. The original title ... is somewhat misleading.
