| Meer info | FROM AN EDITION OF 30 COPIES (regular edition: 750), each with a loosely inserted watercolour/collage in colours (27,5 x 21,5 cm.), signed by Marx. Extremely rare. *Karl Marx studied fine art at the Cologne School of Applied Arts and taught there from 1959 to 1986, first as a teacher, then as dean of the art and design department. Notable students such as Jürgen Klauke emerged from his class. He is considered one of the pioneers of the "Neue Wilde" (New Wild Ones) movement in Cologne during the 1980s. His involvement in the art scene was evident, not least, in the culinary happening "Hommage à Karl Marx," organized by Daniel Spoerri in 1978, to which he invited everyone in the region who, like Marx, bore a famous name, as listed in the telephone directory. |
