As such, they contain many specimens of extinct and endangered birds and information on these forms is frequently requested by ornithologists and conservationist throughout the world. This catalogue was produced to list the Museum’s holdings of the relevant species and subspecies and to make the associated data more widely accessible with the aim to assist in the conservation of living species and their habitat. The Horn Collection bestaat uit 200 gespecialiseerde vogel- en natuurboeken die deel uitmaakten van de privécollectie van de internationaal geprezen (wijlen) Nederlandse vogelpreparateur Ewold Horn. * Ewold signeerde zelf bijna al zijn boeken, en dit feit wordt als zodanig dan ook niet nog extra vermeld in de beschrijving.
